What's the difference between a remanufactured and aftermarket upper unit?
A remanufactured unit is your exact upper unit rebuilt to OEM specs using genuine OEM parts — best performance, longest life. Aftermarket is built new to OEM specs at a lower price point with aftermarket parts. Depending on your budget the aftermarket may be the choice for you if you don’t mind sacrificing quality.

Will this upper unit fit my sterndrive?
It will if we spec it correctly. Give us your engine make, model, year, and serial number and our factory-trained team confirms compatibility before you order. We don’t guess.
How fast will my order ship?
We try our best to ship your unit out in 24 hours. Some units may need to be built in house. If this is the case, we call you with an estimated shipping date. We prioritize getting these units out as quickly as possible. We will also send you a tracking number the moment it leaves our warehouse.
Does insurance cover an upper unit replacement?
Often yes — and most boaters don’t think to ask. Call us for help. Our owner handles every claim personally and works directly with your adjuster.
Can I install this myself?
Many of our customers are do-it-yourselfers and if your comfortable with install, by all means, do so. If you prefer not to install yourself, we can ship your unit directly to your boat shop so they can complete the install. We ship thousands of sterndrives directly to boat shops each year.
