A remanufactured unit is your exact sterndrive rebuilt to OEM specs using genuine parts — best performance, longest life. Aftermarket is built new by a third-party manufacturer to OEM specs at a lower price point. Both are solid options depending on your budget and how long you plan to keep the boat. How fast will my order ship?
For Sterndrives, we try our best to ship your unit out in 24 hours. Some units may need to be built in house. If this is the case, we call you with an estimated shipping date. We prioritize getting these units out as quickly as possible. We will also send you a tracking number the moment it leaves our warehouse.
Does my insurance cover a sterndrive replacement?
Depending on the circumstances, yes, the may be covered — and most boaters don’t think to ask. Call us for more details. Our owner handles insurance claims personally and works directly with your adjuster to get you the best outcome.
Can I install this myself or do I need a mechanic?
Many of our customers are do-it-yourselfers and if your comfortable with install, by all means, do so. If you prefer not to install yourself, we can ship your unit directly to your boat shop so they can complete the install. We ship thousands of sterndrives directly to boat shops each year.
