School is In, Is there still time for boating?

School just started for most children in the last few days.  That doesn't mean its time to put away the boat for the season.  There are still two weeks until Labor Day and plenty of time to get your boating in before fall hits.  The water is still warm from those hot days in August.  So what are you waiting for? 

Should you find that you are one of those boaters whose boat has been out of commission either all season or just recently, get your Kansas City area boat repaired quick.  The service department at US Boatworks has a short turn around time at the present time.  If you get your boat in for serivce early in the week, we can probably have you back on the water by the weekend.  We are also open on Saturday  till noon should you need to drop off or pick up your boat on the weekend. 

A popular repair this time of year is a lower unit repair.  Often times the lower unit gets damaged due to debris or trees in the water.  We stock most all brands of lower units for replacement.  Some of the major brands we carry are Mercury lower units, Mercruiser stern drives, Evinrude lower units, OMC sterndrives and Volvo sterndrives.  You can choose from new lower units or a remanufactured lower unit.  I explain the difference and show pricing on our website at http://boatengine.com/lower-units.html.

So, how is the boating industry doing in 2010?
